On Tuesday 7th April 1998 I was back at the Town Hall, Cheltenham with my mate Dave Seal to see THE TEMPTATIONS.
To start the evening off we saw a band called THE SOUND OF THE SUPREMES who performed tracks like "NATHAN JONES", "THE HAPPENING", "BABY LOVE", and "STOP, IN THE NAME OF LOVE". All tracks made famous of course by the SUPREMES. I thought this band (who performed for about 40 minutes) were very close in looks, sound, and actions to the original SUPREMES.
After a 20 minute interval THE TEMPTATIONS came on stage using the same instrumental section as the previous band. Led by DENNIS EDWARDS, they proceeded to perform all their classic hits like "TREAT HER LIKE A LADY", "BALL OF CONFUSION", "CLOUD 9", and "MY GIRL", to name but a few.
After the show I met THE TEMPTATIONS and had my photo taken with DENNIS EDWARDS.
